Cultural Adaptation of Services for Transborder Families of Autistic Children

Our mission

We seek to contribute to the representation of the Latine community in research, to understand the historical, social, and cultural circumstances that shape the lived experiences of Latine transborder caregivers of young children with or showing signs of Autism, and to improve cultural match of autism intervention services for this community. In order to collaboratively incorporate action, research, and the community’s knowledge and assets, I plan to use community- based research methods to culturally adapt evidence-based practices for Latine caregivers of young children with autism.
